A very simple answer to this question is that you should drink at least 2.5-5 liters of fluid to get 2-2.5 liters of urine volume a day. In summers, when the temperature rises and the sweat rates are high, you should consume at least 4.5-5 liters of fluid intake. During the winters, drink at least 3.5 liters of fluid a day to get 2.5 liters of urine.
